Terms of Service
Last updated: July 12, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Openmid.gg website and the Openmid desktop application (together, the "Service"), operated by Carson Buckley ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Openmid is
Openmid is a companion dashboard for League of Legends. The desktop application displays matchup information during champion select and live game information while you play. The website provides a reference library of champion, item, and rune data. Openmid is a read-only companion tool: it does not automate gameplay, modify the game client, or provide any competitive automation. It uses only APIs that Riot Games makes available to third-party developers.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. Signing in is optional and is done through Riot Sign-On ("RSO"). We never see or store your Riot password. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your signed-in session.
3. User content
Signed-in users may publish matchup tips and vote on tips submitted by others ("User Content"). By publishing User Content you:
- grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute that content within the Service (for example, showing your tip and rank attribution to other users);
- confirm the content is yours and does not infringe anyone else's rights;
- agree not to submit content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, misleading, spam, or advertising.
We may remove User Content or restrict accounts at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms. You may request deletion of your published content at any time (see the Privacy Policy).
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to cheat, exploit, or gain unauthorized advantage in League of Legends;
- scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service or its data at scale;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service, or attempt to access it by unauthorized means;
- impersonate others or misrepresent rank or authorship of tips.
5. Intellectual property
Openmid.gg was created under Riot Games' "Legal Jibber Jabber" policy using assets owned by Riot Games. Riot Games does not endorse or sponsor this project. League of Legends and Riot Games are trademarks or registered trademarks of Riot Games, Inc. All game data and imagery (champions, abilities, items, runes) are the property of Riot Games. The Openmid name, site design, and original content are ours.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Game data may be inaccurate or out of date; community tips reflect the opinions of their authors, not ours. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may modify or discontinue it at any time.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to US $50. The Service is free of charge.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service (including community features) for conduct that violates these Terms or harms other users.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of the operator's residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
